Born in 1992, Myriam was raised in Abu Dhabi by an Emirati father and French mother.
Born and raised in Abu Dhabi, Myriam’s passion came from her grandmother Hélène Saint Martory. Being an Emirati with a French mother, she frequently traveled to France to visit her family. Her favorite pastime growing up was visiting museums with Hélène. Her grandmother was a world-traveler, professor of Latin, and expert in art history, who became Myriam’s role model.
She graduated in 2014 from Zayed University’s (Abu Dhabi) College of Communication and Media Sciences with a Bachelor’s degree and is currently pursuing a Master in History of Art and Museum Studies at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. Marking her 9th year in the museum, she is now a Curatorial Assistant at Louvre Abu Dhabi.
Myriam is also passionate about archaeology and has been excavating since 2014 in the UAE and abroad. She was amongst the first group of students in the Archaeology Field School, publishing a report on the old villages of Al Ain near the oasis then shared during the Seminar for Arabian Studies at the British Museum. In 2019, she excavated on Marawah Island that started gradually in size from the year 2000 until today.
